Country programmes

Uptime works across different contexts, from direct contracts with professional service providers to government partnerships. These programmes show how results-based funding can support reliable and safe drinking water, and how the model can scale.

Zambia | SafeManzi

Since 2024, SafeManzi has supported results-based contracts for drinking water services in rural schools and healthcare facilities in Mumbwa District. The programme covers 101 institutions, with the pilot achieving over 95% of its reliability and water safety targets.

Bangladesh | SafePani

Since 2025, Uptime has worked with HYSAWA and the Government of Bangladesh to support drinking water services in 1,174 schools and public facilities in Khulna. The Government and Uptime each contribute 50% of results-based payments, linked to independently verified service delivery.
